Boh Show Invite_8_3

Quick mention on the Boh Runga show this August 3rd at Largo. Boh is touring in support of her new US Debut album “Right Here.”  Here from New Zealand, I do not know when you will get a chance to see her again so I highly recommend this show. She is dynamic and well worth checking out.

July 30th, 2009

AR

Ill Ease – Here Comes Trouble

July 24th, 2009

IllEase_18

Let me just get this out there to begin with. Straight to the point, I try to stay away from words like genius and empty filled compliments. But this album, “Turn it Loose” by Ill Ease is just ridiculous and a force that has me gushing all over when I listen to it. And yes, it is genius.  Bred from the musical brain and rich tradition that is Elizabeth Sharp, all I can say is, Whoa! Read the rest of this entry »

Marvelous Toy – I Have To Write This Over

July 9th, 2009

MT photo

LA is rich. LA is plastic. LA is so many things that people cannot understand. But at the forefront of what it is, it is  a magical city painted to a musical landscape that leaves so many people just simply envious. We are blessed to have a talent like Jordan Hudock, the incredible leader of Marvelous Toy.  Part mad, all genius, his band’s story continues to unfold and luckily, we get to participate in it through live shows and great music.
