It is rare that you are hooked on it from the first note. But you are when you listen to this band. The band Vulture Whale has been making the rounds lately, getting this rave and that rave. But really, the music is all about your personal connection with it. I do not know these guys but there is an attitude, something powerful about their music that oozes rock and roll and makes you want to crank their sounds.
Alabama is in the middle of a music renaissance. No kidding it really is! But maybe, just maybe, it is because it is home to Vulture Whale and they are doing a wonderful job of staying true to their roots and making great music. Vulture Whale music is rock and roll embodied. I can see these guys inspiring mosh pits across the spots they play and having droves of groupies. The music is energetic, drop kick you in the mouth, jagger-ish vocals set to a dazzling and sweetly created noise bubble with just enough of that punk angst.
