I am bit late mentioning this one. But listening to The Ex-Girlfriends Club makes me want to want to rip off my clothes, drink heavily and run down the street, shouting at the top of my lungs, "I feel free!" I feel like superman when listening to them and it would a be a great way to channel that inner-angst I feel at present. This is music for the bold, willing to blast it loudly, when you need a fix for edgy neo-Glam garagey sounds. The Ex-Girlfriends Club is just off the charts rad!

Lovers has a new album, "Dark Light." So many adjectives, so little time. I would run out of words to describe this band. So I will go with Outstanding! Sure, the bands album is a synth-driven pop masterpiece but it goes deeper then that. The music is inspired, angst driven, perfectly created and laced over sweetly produced, crunching, crispy beats that rattle inside your soul long after listening to it. Lovers makes music for a new generation of boys and girls needing something prophetic, touching, thematic that will be a soundtrack for their lives. Dam. This band is REALLY good. Norfolk & Western are finished with their album, "Dinero Severo" on 3 Syllables Records. Norfolk & Western music is about the rich story telling that comes with being persistent. Dating back to 2003 when friends got together to make the first album, the years have melted away and finally Norfolk & Western came back again as they have so often before. This time they have prevailed to powerfully craft such a beautifully and elegant mix of folk and rock, stripped down to its core and leaving us with a wonderful sound canvas that takes you miles away from it all. It is a pure pleasure to hear this band make music that we will all continue to enjoy for a long long time.

International Grey is a really awesome shoegaze/indie rock band from Portland. Their songs have a really full sound, with soft spoken vocals coming over the top of a sometimes melancholy wall of noise, and droning keyboard in the back round. They released a digital 7 inch through Predator Friendly Records called “maybe you won”. The songs on it, both “maybe you won” and “choose a machine, are beautiful examples of why this band deserves recognition.
