How rare is it nowadays to hear an album, and not skip to the next song? You would think in the infinite universe of music, you would constantly get albums, where song after song, got better and better. But it is rare. Music is so often about your own mood, how it connects to you at that particular moment in your life, quite possibly, even just that day or even hour you choose to play it.
Then you listen to Blind Pilot’s “3 Rounds and a Sound” and you realize, whether you feel sexy or not, whether it is a Monday or a Sunday Afternoon, whether you are with friends or solitary walk through the woods, this album, every dam song on it is just so good. You will play the entire album over and over and over again.

Blind Pilot creates music for the people on any road traveled with richly textured, wonderful orbits of sounds that work perfectly together, through a stellar combo of those folksy vocals and instrumentation. This six piece from Oregon is on a major tour with dates in Ohio, Georgia, NYC, Washington DC, Philadelphia and continuing all the way to Lollapalooza in early August. Luckily for us, they will be back on the west coast with dates in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and I will be there to greet this band with open arms.
