Where to start, where to start. Should I just come out and profess my love for Pillow Queens? Should I say how they just might be another of my favorite bands? Should I tell you that I like these guys so much, I might actually drive to Texas and offer to drive them to the left coast so they can just play for us so more and more people can hear them? All the above are true statements, but first a warning. Pillow Queens are a powerful frenetic lo-fi quartet that will leave you wanting to hang out with them. I would be happy just watching these guys rehearse.
Accompanied by the classic sounding vox and retro punk drumming to match the vocals of, the band is Duncan Malashock , Will Slack, Katie Brouillette & Carolyn Cunnigham. Pillow Queens resonate with a powerful wallop of drop everything, I need to dance, my fruit punch might be laced, why do I feel so good, where did I get all this energy type of music. You know the stuff that just digs deep in you and does not let go until someone unplugs it for you. It makes me want to rip my clothes off and just be free. Listening to this band makes me feel care free and happy!
