Exoneration – A Place

exoneration

Love this LA band’s mantra, “To Make Music.” Seriously what eles matters, when you got a probing 4-piece rock band that is on a mission to spread their notes and play all over town? We are talking about Exoneration.

My gut feeling is Exoneration will be blowing up shortly and not just because they are performing, but because more people will jump unto this band’s sound and start passing the word on them. We like them and we look forward to them giving us more of their music! Go out and support these guys.

Silverghost – A Place To Start

March 15th, 2009

good-one

Music speaks for itself. So there is no need to dilute it with a bunch of words. Insert, Deleano Acevado and Marcie Bolen, the Detroit Based Duo known as Silverghost and what you get isĀ  a tight duo making killer music. Silverghost mixes just the right touch between rough and melodic with a tinge of that 80’s electronic pulse to make it sound just so dam sweet. If the two qualities seem opposite, you might be correct, but then again Silverghost pulls it off. Have a listen for yourself and if you happen to be at SXSW, Check them out at one of the following shows:

Ryan Shields & The Janks – Heads on Wrong

March 10th, 2009

Music is brilliant. It reads your mood. Also I cannot fight it anymore. Lately I have been listening to a lot of acoustic and folk music. But its more then ok, when I keep discovering something new and good like, Ryan Shields & The Janks. This NYC based artist should be hitting the west coast circuit this upcoming summer in support of his album, “The Light Between Last Night & Tomorrow.” And we will be there to watch him live.

Ryan Shields & The Janks straddle the music sounds with the pretty acoustic and folk melodies that soothe. With influences like Ben Harper and Wilco, Ryan Shields & The Janks make their own, wonderful sound. Here are two songs.
