As a young(er) man I would go to the Jazz Bakery and see Reuben Wilson jam. It was one of the highlights of my life meeting him, and listening to him, set after set. Thanks to 18th & Vine Records for the trip down nostalgia lane today!
Gene Harris & The Three Sounds. This is a wonderful album that demands spin after spin after spin. Simply beautiful.
The one and only (Brother) Jack McDuff. Wow!
Beth Orton. Always a personal favorite.
Gerry Mulligan. Priceless.
Extrawelt. Great back then…great now.
Nathan Fake. Easily…one of the most powerful tracks I have ever heard.
The one and only Charles Earland. Just…so bangin!’
Deodato was and continues to be one of my favorite artists.
